CREATED FROM THE INSIDE OUT Gateway Plaza in Richmond, Virginia is the first and only soaring, multi-tenant office tower in the region created from the inside out to meet the unique needs of companies like Richmond’s largest law firm, McGuireWoods and TowneBank. The project includes a lobby sculpture and mosaic designed by world renowned artists, Carol Mickett and Robert Stackhouse.

WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY IN ST. LOUIS IS CONSTANTLY IMPROVING Clayco is currently building the new WUSM/BJC Mid-Campus Center (right) and the Environmental Health and Safety Building for the medical campus as well as Rubelmann Hall (above), as part of the South 40 redevelopment project.

When we started Clayco in 1984, the building business had become adversarial and its processes antiquated. There had to be a better way.

I figured that along the way we’d change a few paradigms, find some efficiencies, collaborate with great people, and make our clients very happy. But I had no idea just how far we would go.
