— Multiwall BN nanotubes and nanocages are synthesized by co-pyrolyzing NH4BF4, KBH4, and NaN3 in the presence of a mixture of Zn powder and reduced Fe powder (autoclave, 450—600 °C, 40 h, ≈50% yield). The samples are characterized by powder XRD, FTIR, XPS, and TEM.
