When driving on highways and freeways, Lane Trace Assist (LTA)11,12 uses a camera to detect lane markings. It is designed to alert you and provide steering assistance to help avoid drifting and keep you centred in your lane.

Road Sign Assist (RSA)12 was developed to help recognise road speed signs and provide information to you. It displays the most recently recognised speed limit on the Multi Information Display (MID).

Using a camera to sense either approaching headlights or the tail lights ahead, Automatic High Beam (AHB)12 is designed to help you maintain safe and considerate driving by switching between high and low beam as needed.

Active Cruise Control (ACC)12,14 is designed to help keep a constant distance between vehicles. It uses a milliwave radar to monitor the gap between your vehicle and the one in front, automatically accelerating or slowing down when needed to help you maintain a set distance.

Pre-Collision Safety system(PCS)12 with pedestrian and cyclist detection13 is a multi-stage warning system. Using an integrated camera and radar to help detect other vehicles in front of you, the PCS is designed to assist the driver where there is a likelihood of frontal collision with cars and pedestrians during day or night, or cyclists during the day time. PCS includes a visible and audible alert of possible collisions, additional braking force to assist when you’re braking, and if a collision appears to be unavoidable automatic breaking to help mitigate impact.

Lane Departure Alert (LDA)12 with steering assist is designed to help prevent vehicles drifting from their lane, by monitoring road markings, and providing a visible and audible alert should it detect any deviation from the lane. STARTING OFF

AT RESTWith the car brought to a stop, the petrol engine cuts off. The system automatically avoids idling to conserve fuel and reduce CO2 emissions.

The electric motor is used primarily and power stored in the battery is used to turn the motor.

BRAKING & DECELERATIONThe electric motor functions as a generator to recharge the battery by itself. No fuel is used, so there are no CO2 emissions.

There are 7 SRS airbags to help protect the driver and passengers, while Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) helps prevent wheel lock-up and skidding, and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) counteracts any over steer or under steer when cornering.
