-Born in Atchison, Kansas.-Growing up when World War I was happening-She had to prove that she could fly even though she was a girl

1921She took flying lessons from Neta Snook.

Neta Snook called her a natural.

Amelia liked to fly between wires that were only eight feet apart!

She set her first record flying to a height of 14,000 feet.

She set the record in her first plane that she got from her parents and sister. Amelia

She became the first person to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.

She was the fastest to cross the Atlantic twice by air in May.

She was very determined cause she stuck with her talent.
