Dear Parents and Carers,
Following a successful first term of exciting after school
provision for our children, we will be continuing to work in
partnership with Premier Sport and Premier Performing
Arts to further enrich the sporting provision that we
provide for our children.
Five days each week, we will have access to qualified
sport and performing arts coaches who will work with the
children during teacher’s planning, preparation and
assessment time (PPA) to ensure quality sporting
experiences that meet the needs of each child.
In addition, our sports coaches will be supporting class
teachers, through team teaching opportunities and
demonstration lessons, to further develop their teaching
of PE, sport and the performing arts.
We have also reviewed our extra-curricular provision to
include some new and exciting opportunities that
include: dance, drama & performing arts, fencing, tri-golf,
and fitness.
Our after school clubs are always very popular and, to
avoid disappointment, we recommend that you book your
child’s place as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Whilst we will make every effort to ensure that all after school clubs run as scheduled, there will be times when staff sickness/absence, or adverse weather, means that a club has to be cancelled, sometimes at short notice. We will always endeavour to re-schedule missed sessions or, where this is not possible, issue a full refund. However, please do not rely on after school clubs to meet childcare needs.

What I like about coaching and teaching.
Whilst coaching and teaching I aim to provide fun and
enjoyable sessions for all children across a range of sports.
I aim to create positive experiences that will inspire the
younger generation to get active, take part and enjoy
physical education. I plan to ensure that the children make
good progress in their learning and the range of skills that
they will acquire.
Background in coaching and teaching.
Having studied at the University of Brighton, and gained
experience in a range of settings, I am really looking
forward to sharing my passion for sport with
the children at Stanford Junior School.
Ms Negron Medina. Premier Performing Arts.
Bachelor of Performing Arts.
Science of physical activity and sports.
Hobbies and interests.
I have been involved in athletics for nine years and, as well as training hard, I compete in races. I particularly enjoy water sports, especially during the warmer summer months. I enjoy salsa and bachata- bachata is a style of social dance from the Dominican Republic which is now danced all over the world. I do this regularly and I also follow a routine based on meditation. Background in coaching and teaching.
Having completed my degree in sport science, I am
planning to start a masters in education, which I will
access online from April. I am looking forward to this
opportunity to work with the children at Stanford Junior
School to share my knowledge, skills and passion. I am
a very enthusiastic, creative and responsible person who
takes pride in doing a great job. I am also resilient and
solution focused.
Mrs Boys, who has worked in school this term, will be
leaving us at Christmas to start her maternity leave. We
wish her well and would like to take this opportunity to
thank her for the energy she has brought to our school.
