Together with the city of Vienna and hosting partner Wienxtra we are
inviting you to attend the 9th child and the City World Conference
held from 24th - 26th of September in Vienna, Austria.
The Child in the City World Conference, one of the leading
conferences on child friendly policies and research, takes place every
two years in a different city and is a great opportunity for dialogue
with other practitioners, researchers and professors in the field of
child care.
With over 100 speakers, this edition of the Child in the City World
Conference promises to be bigger than ever!
The programme of the Child in the City World Conference consist of interesting
keynote sessions, interactive parallel sessions, a poster exhibition and several field
trips throughout the city of Vienna.
Themes
This year the conference focuses on the following themes;
1. Children’s rights in urban development and regeneration
2. Children and young people and media
3. Equality and diversity in the child-friendly city
4. Mobility and access to the child-friendly city

In the evening of September 25, an optional networking dinner takes place from
20.00-22.30. The dinner takes place at Kahlenberg Restaurant, that is situated on a hill
