Since 2018, all of the energy used in our data centers (DCs) has been hydraulic. Scaleway has created a unique cooling process for its largest DC – a patented adiabatic technology.

Our objective: to be the most energy-efficient Cloud player. This means:

1. Controlling our energy and water use via a weighted indicator that goes much further than the PUE indicator2. Campaigning for water conservation and efficiency3. Promoting the circular economy4. Raising our clients’ awareness about the environmental footprint of products by detailing it line by line on each invoice we issue as of 2021

Integrating CSR and business ethics criteria into our

procurement policy

• Selection: taking into account values relating to ethics and CSR in the selectionprocedure

• Assessment: setting up an internal system for approving and managing suppliersin order to prevent corruption risks; deploying a CSR strategy and monitoringGDPR compliance

• External assessments: assessments of suppliers under way by EcoVadis (suppliersrepresenting over 50% of our purchases already assessed)

Working with companies in the sheltered sector

• Committed involvement for over 10 years now, ensuring stable, lasting work for various sheltered-sector companies

• Covering a range of different activities: dismantling end-of-life products, cleaning and re-coiling cables, packaging, etc.

the Covid-19 crisis

• The Solid-19 support fund - €10 million made available - was created in April2020 to help our small-business sub-contractors who have been hit financiallyby the pandemic
