PUBLICATION RIGHTS By entering this show, all owners, handlers, breeders and kennels agree that all rights to televise, videotape, photograph, advertise, promote and publicize or otherwise exploit this show, or the persons or animals participating in it or the results of the competition before, during or after the event, shall belong solely to Show Giving Club and/or The American Kennel Club and their respective assigns, including the use of the names, likenesses or biographical matter of all dogs, owners, handlers, breeders and kennels participating in the show and no such owner, handler, breeder or kennel shall allow any other party to make commercial use of any videotape or photograph of any person or animal participating in this competition.

SPECIAL NOTICEThe National Show Chairperson shall not handle dogs at any DPCA National Specialty Show.

PHOTOGRPAHY & VIDEOTAPINGTripods/monopods may not be set up ringside for the purpose of photographing or videotaping the event. Only the official show photographer and videographer may set up tripods ringside. Further, the professional video services and live streaming at this show are governed by an exclusive video contract with the Club. No other commercial video recording, video recording from a tripod, monopod or other supported camera/device, or any video recording or streaming of large parts or whole classes shall be permitted. Exhibitors may record video of their own dogs using handheld devices and post the video to social media. However, during show hours LIVE Broadcast Streaming to social media is not permitted. Submission of an entry form and/or attendance constitutes consent that only the professional video services company contracted by the Club may live stream during show hours.

DOBERMAN CARDIOLOGY CLINICThe DPCA is pleased to be able to offer a quality cardiac screening clinic led by Dr. Ryan

Fries at this year’s 2021 National Specialty. The clinic will run from Sunday, October 10 through Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Preregistration is available through http://

heartlandveterinarycardiology.com/clinic-hours/. All dogs must be preregistered by the closing date of the show.

Echocardiograms will be $135/each. A summary page for a Holter exam is $10 and full disclosure results for a holter is $50.

THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF EXERCISE PENS AVAILABLE TO EXERCISE YOUR DOGS. DO NOT USE THE LAWNS AND GROUNDS FOR THIS PURPOSE.

MAXIMUM OF FOUR (4) DOGS PER ROOM. NO DOGS TO BE LEFT UNCRATED IN UNATTENDED ROOMS. THESE AND OTHER SHOW SITE RULES WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. VIOLATORS WILL BE SUBJECT TO A BENCH COMMITTEE HEARING.

NO SOFT SIDED CRATES IN THE CONFORMATION CRATING AREA. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL EXHIBITORS.

THERE WILL BE NO DAY-OF-SHOW MOTOR HOME PARKING. THERE WILL BE NO EXERCISE PENS SETUP IN THE BUILDING.

There is a $50.00 non-refundable fee for all rooms with dogs. MeadowView Resort reserves the right to charge the individual’s credit card for any cleaning and/or damages to the hotel’s property in amounts in excess of the cleaning deposit for damages sustained above reasonable wear and tear.

It is our understanding that dogs will be sleeping in guest rooms. Any other arrangements will need to be discussed with the Hotel prior to implementation. Dogs must remain in crates at all times while unattended in guest room. Dogs may be allowed out of the crates while in the guest rooms only if dog is attended by the owner. Please note that the guest rooms will be monitored daily. If this issue is being abused, the guests will be asked to leave. In addition, the dogs are not allowed on the furniture.

TROPHIES: Trophies and prizes will be awarded at the trophy table adjacent to the judging ring. A trophy/prize card will be awarded in the ring and you may present it at the trophy table for your trophy/prize. Trophies/prizes must be claimed the day awarded. Trophies/prizes will not be mailed. The Show Chair should be advised immediately of any discrepancies. The club reserves the right to substitute an unavailable prize for one of equal or greater value.

LOSS OR DAMAGE: The Event Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these events. The welfare of an exhibitor’s children is assumed to be the responsibility of the parents. It is distinctly understood that parents will exercise control and restraint over their children on the days of the events.

The show giving club, the event secretary, their agents, employees, etc, assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children.

TRANSFER OF ENTRIESNOTE: TRANSFER OF ENTRIES AND REQUESTS FOR REFUNDS FOR PUBLISHED JUDGE CHANGES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IN THE OFFICE AFTER 12:00 NOON ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 5. AFTER THIS TIME, YOU MUST CONTACT THE SUPERINTENDENT ON SITE.CONFORMATION: Dogs may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed or Variety competition, provided this transfer is presented to the Superintendent at least one half-hour prior to the scheduled start of any regular conformation judging at the show.JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP: Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition, if a win in Novice leads to a Best Junior with competition present it will count as one win towards moving to Open, after closing of entries for a show are required to transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class by notifying the Superintendent prior to the start of the class at the show. Correction may be made from one age division to another, as well as, move from Master to Open or Open to Novice if a win has been disallowed or the Junior miscalculated number of placements, provided this transfer must be made to the Superintendent prior to the judging of the class at the show.OBEDIENCE OR RALLY: A transfer (i.e., from an obedience class to an obedience class; or a rally class to a rally class) may be requested if, according to the owner’s records the handler and dog are eligible provided the club offers transfers. Transfers from an “A” to “B” class at the same level are allowed provided the host club allows transfers. The request for a transfer must be in writing and presented to the Superintendent or Trial Secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial. Clubs may choose to accept transfers prior to the day of the trial and this should be clearly stated in the premium list. Transfers may be approved provided the class and judge are available, and the class has not reached its limit.

OBEDIENCE C MATCHES

The DPCA will host 2 OC Matches. Sign up sheets will be available at the Obedience Ring 1/2 hour before OC match.

$10 per run for 10 minutes of ring time. Both matches will be held in the Obedience Ring in the Convention Center.

HOTEL DOG SHOW RULES• Maximum of four (4) crated dogs per guestroom. Total of 4 includes puppies and companion animals. • No uncrated dogs in the guestrooms unattended.• Plastic sheeting must be under all crates in rooms.• It is the responsibility of the dog owners/guardian to clean up after their animals.• RESORT linens/towels may not be used to wash pets. Guests to provide own shampoo and towels.• No bathing or grooming of dogs in any part of the hotel (this includes guestrooms).• No dogs allowed in the restaurant, lounge, fitness center, meeting rooms or public restrooms.• Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times when outside of guestrooms.• Observe “no dog” posted areas.• Do not allow your dog to urinate or defecate on the hotel buildings or on the landscaped areas of the hotel.• Always clean up after your dog and deposit it in the trash receptacles throughout the show grounds.• Please do not let your dog become a nuisance to your neighbor. There will be non-dog guests in the hotel. Excessive barking will be reported to the show committee, and repeat violators will be asked to leave.• The hotel reserves the right to expel those who fail to comply with the posted regulations.• There will be no whelping of puppies in the hotel.

AIRPORTTri City Airport (TRI) in Bristol, TN is 18 miles from the Convention Center. Delta and American Airlines have service to this airport.

Additional ringside mentoring will be provided throughout the week’s events beginning October 14th with advance notification.
