5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE CONNECTION LOCATIONS FOR UTILITIES SUCH AS SANITARY SEWERS, GAS LINES, ELECTRIC, WATER FOR THE BUILDING.
6. WRITTEN DIMENSIONS ON THE DRAWINGS SHALL TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER SCALED DIMENSIONS. SHOULD A DISCREPANCY APPEAR IN THE DRAWINGS OR THESPECIFICATIONS, IT IS DEEMED THAT THE CONTRACTOR ESTIMATED THE MOST EXPENSIVE MATERIAL AND CONSTRUCTION INVOLVED.
7. CONTRACTOR TO MAINTAIN WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION, LIABILITY INSURANCE AND VEHICLE INSURANCE IN ADEQUATE AMOUNTS TO RENDER THE OWNER ANDHIS AGENTS HARMLESS IN CASE OF ACCIDENT TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY INVOLVED IN THIS PROJECT. PROVIDE CERTIFICATION OF SAME TO THE OWNER,WITH INSURANCE COVERAGES SHOWN WITH THE BID PROPOSAL. FAILURE TO PROVIDE VERIFICATION OF INSURANCE WILL NULLIFY BID.
8. PROTECT FROM DAMAGE TO ALL STRUCTURES, FINISHES, UTILITIES, EQUIPMENT, VEGETATION, ETC. SCHEDULED TO REMAIN. MAINTAIN THE STRUCTURALINTEGRITY OF THE BUILDING AND PROVIDE TEMPORARY SHORING AS REQUIRED. PROVIDE TEMPORARY PROTECTIVE DUST AND WEATHER TIGHT ENCLOSURESWHERE AND WHEN REQUIRED.
9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ADEQUATELY BRACING AND PROTECTING ALL WORK DURING CONSTRUCTION AGAINST DAMAGE, BREAKAGE,COLLAPSE, DISTORTIONS AND MISALIGNMENTS ACCORDING TO THE APPLICABLE CODES, STANDARDS AND GOODS PRACTICE.
10. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WORKMEN'S PARKING AND DELIVERY LOCATIONS WITH THE OWNER.
11. THE ARCHITECT SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SUPERVISION OF THE CONSTRUCTION.
12. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A LIST OF ALL SUBCONTRACTORS PRIOR TO SIGNING OF CONTRACT AND FURNISH A WAIVER OF LIENS FOR ALL WORKAND MATERIALS UPON COMPLETION OF EACH TRADES WORK.

14. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SECURE AND PAY FOR ALL THE REQUIRED PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS OF LOCAL AUTHORITIES AND OBTAIN FINAL APPROVALS AND COF O OF WORK UPON COMPLETION.

16. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL STORE MATERIAL, DISPOSE OF DEBRIS, COORDINATE AND SCHEDULE THE WORK IN COOPERATION WITH THE OWNER FOR MINIMUMDISRUPTION. MAINTAIN CLEAR ACCESS TO THE BUILDING AND THE SITE AT ALL TIMES. PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN ALL SAFETY BARRICADES, SAFETY DEVICES,BARRIERS, ETC. TO PROTECT PEOPLE AND PROPERTY IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL LOCAL AND STATE REGULATIONS.
17. EXTRA CHARGES WILL BE ALLOWED ONLY WHEN AUTHORIZED IN WRITING BY THE OWNER BEFORE THE CHARGE IS INCURRED.
18. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL MATERIALS DELIVERED TO THE SITE AND WILL ASSUME OWNERSHIP OF SAME UNTIL THEY HAVE BEENPROPERLY INSTALLED.
19. ALL WORKMANSHIP AND MATERIALS SHALL BE GUARANTEED FOR A MINIMUM PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR AFTER ACCEPTANCE BY THE OWNER, UNLESS OTHERWISENOTED.
20. FOR THE DURATION OF THE CONSTRUCTION PERIOD, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL DAMAGES CAUSED BY HIS MEN ORSUBCONTRACTORS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REPAIR AND/OR REPLACE ALL BROKEN PARTS, INCLUDING GLASS, AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER ANDBACK CHARGE THIS TO THE RESPONSIBLE PARTY OR PARTIES.
21. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY TEMPORARY FACILITIES, SUCH AS HEAT ELECTRICITY AND WATER, REQUIRED FOR THE WORK OF THISCONTRACT. TEMPORARY WORK OF ANY NATURE, INCLUDING STAIRS, LADDERS, RUNWAYS AND SCAFFOLDING, SHALL MEET THE SAFETY REQUIREMENTS OF THEAUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION.
22. WORKMANSHIP: IT IS ASSUMED THAT ALL WORK SHALL BE PERFORMED BY PERSONS WHO ARE SKILLED AND EXPERIENCED IN THEIR RESPECTIVE TRADES. ALLINSTALLATIONS SHALL OPERATE PROPERLY IN A FIRST CLASS MANNER. WORKMANSHIP SHALL CONFORM TO THE BEST TRADE PRACTICES. FINISH SURFACESSHALL BE PLUMB AND LEVEL, STRAIGHT AND FREE FROM IMPERFECTIONS AND SET FIRMLY TO ACCURATE MEASUREMENTS. FINISHED PRODUCTS SHALL BETOTALLY FREE OF COVERING MATERIALS, LOOSE AND FOREIGN MATERIALS, ETC.
23. CONTRACTORS AND SUBCONTRACTORS SHALL COORDINATE THEIR WORK WITH ADJACENT WORK AND COOPERATE WITH OTHER TRADES, TO FACILITATE THEGENERAL PROGRESS OF THE WORK. EACH TRADE SHALL AFFORD ALL OTHER TRADES EVERY REASONABLE OPPORTUNITY FOR INSTALLATION OF THE WORKAND FOR THE TEMPORARY STORAGE OF THEIR TOOLS AND MATERIALS.
24. SCAFFOLDS AND PLATFORMS SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED AND MAINTAINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE REGULATIONS OF THE AGENCIES HAVINGJURISDICTION AT THE PLACE OF WORK. SCAFFOLDS SHALL NOT BE OVERLOADED.
25. GENERAL CLEANING: UPON COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CLEAN THE EXTERIOR OF THE STRUCTURE AND THE SITE, REMOVINGALL STAINS, DEBRIS, ETC. RESULTING FROM CONSTRUCTION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ALSO CLEAN ALL INTERIOR AREA OF THE STRUCTURE IN THE AREAS OFTHE NEW WORK. ALL GLASS, INSIDE AND OUT, SHALL BE COMPLETELY CLEANED.
26. THE FOLLOWING AIA DOCUMENTS, IN THEIR LATEST EDITIONS, SHALL BE CONSIDERED A PART OF THESE SPECIFICATIONS AND ARE INCORPORATED HEREIN ASFULLY AS IF HERE SET FORTH; AIA DOCUMENT A107, STANDARD FORM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN OWNER AND CONTRACTOR STIPULATED SUM CONTRACT); AIADOCUMENT 201, GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION. COPIES OF THESE DOCUMENTS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE OFFICE OF THEARCHITECT FOR EXAMINATION.
