National Disability InsuranceScheme (NDIS)

Previously people with disabilities under the age of 65 were funded by the Community Care Support Program (CCSP) however, the government has introduced a new funding system called The National Disability Insurance scheme (NDIS). NDIS provides people with disability, their families and carers individualised funding to support their needs, current and future endeavours and day to day supports. NDIS aims to provide people with disability choice and control over the services they receive.

Who can use the service?

To be supported and funded for your transport expenses by NDIS it is required that you meet the NDIS disability requirement of having a permanent impairment or condition which prevents you from doing day to day activities independently.

To access detailed information on eligibility visit the NDIS Access Checker at:https://myplace.ndis.gov.au
