You can pay the deposit under the welcometab of the TU Portal <tuportal.temple.edu> or by returning the enclosedEnrollment Deposit Form with a personal or bank-issued check drawnupon a bank in the U.S. or a money order made payable to TempleUniversity. Tuition is paid after you arrive and register for classes.
Review your I-20/DS 2019 and pay the SEVIS Fee at <fmjfee.com>If you require an I-20/DS 2019 and it is not included in this package,please complete your Certificate of Eligibility Application Form(I-20/DS 2019) and send in the supporting documents as soon as possible. Transfer students should make arrangements for their current I-20/DS 2019 to be released to Temple University after submitting theCertificate of Eligibility Application (I-20/DS 2019). Complete Placement Testing and New Student QuestionnaireAll incoming students must complete English and Math PlacementTesting before they arrive at Temple University. Both tests can be takenonline. The link for the online Placement Testing and New StudentQuestionnaire (NSQ) system will be emailed to you at your TU emailaddress after you have submitted your deposit. The purpose of thePlacement Testing is to determine your level in the first year writing andmath courses. The test must be taken without assistance from others,and whatever the score, it will not affect your admission.
Reserve your place for the mandatory New International Student Orientation WeekRegister at <temple.edu/isss> and click on Future Studentsthen Orientation.∞ Temple will provide free transportation from the Philadelphia
International Airport (PHL) to Temple University on January 5 and 6, 2016.
∞ Orientation will take place January 7-10, 2016.

Request a Room in University HousingTo select a room in University Housing, you must first submit the $250 housing deposit in addition to your tuition deposit. Please visit<temple.edu/housing> to learn more about the selection process and ourfacilities. Room selection is very limited. Please make arrangements as early as possible before leaving your home country.
Visit the CampusIf you are able to visit Philadelphia, you are invited to schedule an individualappointment with an International Admissions Counselor by calling 215-204-4900 or emailing <[email protected].>
Arrive at Temple on January 5 or 6, 2016Arriving in time for orientation will give you adequate time to recover from jetlag, register for classes with an advisor, acclimate to your newsurroundings, meet other new students, and take care of any logisticalneeds before classes begin.

Enroll in Health InsuranceTemple University requires all international students to carry major medical health insurance. It is strongly recommended that you purchasetravel health insurance before you leave your home country. The travelinsurance should be valid through the first week of class, during whichtime you will have the opportunity to enroll in Temple’s studentinsurance program. Temple's student insurance plan begins September1 and is billed monthly.
