Outstanding Pol ice Work

Search Warrant:

On January 2, 2014, PoliceOfficer Alvarez and SergeantSean Walsh of the 94thPrecinct Conditions Teamexecuted a search warrant onSouth 2nd Street resulting inthe arrest of two 24 year oldmales and the seizure of two

firearms.

 Attempted Rape Arrest:

On January 9, 2014, PoliceOfficer Montalvo of the 94thPrecinct arrested a male whoattempted to rape his ex-girlfriend on Jackson Street.After further investigation andthe execution of a searchwarrant a firearm and a largequantity of heroin were

recovered.

Attempted GLA Arrest:

On January 14, 2014, DetectiveWongsing apprehended a 46year old male who attemptedto steal a vehicle on Meeker

Avenue utilizing a tow truck.

Graffiti Arrests:

On January 18, 2014, Police

Officer Yearwood of the 94thPrecinct Anti Crime Teamarrested a 27 year old male onNorth 12th Street afterobserving him making graffiti

with a paint can. 

On January 18, 2014, PoliceOfficer McGinn of the 94 thPrecinct Anti Crime Teamarrested a 32 year old male onBedford Avenue after observinghim making graffiti on a traffic

control device.

Burglary Arrest: 

On January 18, 2014, PoliceOfficer Guida of the 94thPrecinct Condition Teamarrested two males forburglarizing a store on Bedford

Avenue.

Construction Site Larceny :

On January 29, 2014, PoliceOfficer Yearwood of the 94thPrecinct Anti Crime Teamarrested two males for stealingtools from a construction site

on Eagle Street.

The New York City Family Justice Center in Brooklyn is a walk-in

center for all domestic violence victims and their children. To make it

easier for you to get help, many agencies are located at the Center.

Great job to the 94th Pct Cops & Kids flag football team who made it to the BrooklynNorth Championships losing to the combined 83 & 81 Pct’s team. It was a good time for

all. We are looking forward to the upcoming basketball season beginning in February.

Under the guidance of Program Coordinator Dana Rachlin, the

Youth Court members hear cases and serve as mentors for other

youth. 

94th Pct. Explorer Park Clean Up 2013

The 94 Pct. Explorers led by Police Officer Kirssi Pantaleon

participated in a fall clean up this past Fall. Monsignor McGolrick

and McCarren Parks were cleaned. This was a great way for our

members to give back to Greenpoint and encourage other youth

to join our program.

94th Pct. Children’s Christmas Party

The 94th Pct. Community Council, through fundraising and dona-

tions, distributed toys to families within the Greenpoint & North

Williamsburg communities. A big thanks goes out to our Presi-

dent Elizabeth Hulsen & Community Council Board, Pastor Amy

Kienzle of the Lutheran Church of the Messiah, CongresswomanCarolyn Maloney, Assemblyman Joseph Lentol and all who con-

tributed.
