Two representatives need to be elected from your Advisement. It is up to each advisement as to how these representatives are selected, but if there are more than two students interested in the position, election within your advisement is recommended. Representatives have a unique opportunity to be involved in the activities at Northwood and are given chances to voice concerns and ideas. This year, Student Forum representatives will be working with ASB and other on campus organizations by giving input on how they feel they can contribute to making Northwood a better place. Student Forum representatives will also have the chance to help vote for next year’s ASB Cabinet at Election Convention in April. This year, we have introduced a student forum service project that all of the representatives will help organize to bring an event or service not provided at school. Runway: College Planning Programs & Resources

As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring that our Irvine Unified families have multiple points of access to timely

information, our partners at Collegewise have launched Runway, a free series of college planning programs and

resources, carefully structured to give students and parents the tips, tools, and timelines they need to reach their

college goals in the year (the experience, really) that is 2020. There are specific programs for all high school grade levels

and we are one of the very first districts to get access to this programming.

For Seniors: When you sign up for Runway, you'll have access to content and videos designed for you and your

family that cover topics including:

• College list building

• Finding good value colleges

• Overview of types of colleges

• Personal statement brainstorming and writing

• Effective Common App completion

• Financial aid applications

• Fee waivers overview

• UC application guidance

For underclassmen (grades 9-11), you'll find an on-demand video library, access to a monthly newsletter, and a variety

of guides covering everything from STEM programs to understanding the demands of The Common App.

This program is available to all of you, and there's no cost for access.

The Drop-Off Box outside of the Admin. Office is for emergency drop offs only. Lately more and more sports equipment

is left out front on a daily basis. Please remember that this is not the place to store these items. The school is not

responsible for any sports equipment and sports bags left in front of the office. These items are the students’

responsibility and should be properly stored in the locker rooms or with coaches.
