On February 26, 1993 Ramzi Yousef and five other conspirators set off a car bomb in the parking garage of the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Under orders of Yousef’s uncle, the aim was to bring down the tower. Luckily, the blast was nowhere near strong enough do such a thing. From the blast, six people were killed and another 1,040 were injured. Upon arrest and trials, the men promised, and warned, that the next attack would be successful and the number of those killed and injured would be unimaginable. Their threat must not have been taken seriously.

The Second Attack

In the midst of all of the horror, an unfortunate misunderstanding simultaneously occurred at a local Starbucks the day of the attack. Several firefighters rushed into the coffee shop needing water to treat shock victims. The manager and baristas insisted that the men pay a fee of $130 for three cases of bottled water. The men paid the fee in a hurry to get the water back to the victims.When alerted about this occurrence, the president of the Starbucks Company personally apologized and reimbursed the men who paid the money out of their pockets, with cash and other services such as free coffee and pastries.

One day after terrorists used commercial airplanes to destroy the World Trade Center Towers and attack the Pentagon, firefighters take a moment to unfurl the flag over the scarred stone as inspiration for fellow rescue workers searching through the debris. For more than two centuries, the flag of the United States of America has been a symbol of hope in the face of danger and strength in times of peace. Now, as the country stares down a new peril, Americans are flying the banner proudly, heeding its call for unity.

The United States of America protects the freedom. Her flag represents the peoples unity and patriotism, as they have it displayed in many different ways at citizens homes, along with ribbons and pins, in peoples actions and as photographs as is displayed here. In houses in which do not have flags to fly, a painted œstar-spangled banner with pride would be shown somewhere on a porch, on a wall, on the garage, so others can see.

In the normal course of events, Presidents come to this chamber to report on the state of the Union.  Tonight, no such report is needed.  It has already been delivered by the American people.

We have seen it in the courage of passengers, who rushed terrorists to save others on the ground -- passengers like an exceptional man named Todd Beamer.  And would you please help me to welcome his wife, Lisa Beamer, here tonight.  (Applause.)

We have seen the state of our Union in the endurance of rescuers, working past exhaustion.  We have seen the unfurling of flags, the lighting of candles, the giving of blood, the saying of prayers -- in English, Hebrew, and Arabic.  We have seen the decency of a loving and giving people who have made the grief of strangers their own.

My fellow citizens, for the last nine days, the entire world has seen for itself the state of our Union -- and it is strong.  (Applause.) …

On September the 11th, enemies of freedom committed an act of war against our country.  Americans have known wars -- but for the past 136 years, they have been wars on foreign soil, except for one Sunday in 1941.  Americans have known the casualties of war -- but not at the center of a great city on a peaceful morning.  Americans have known surprise attacks -- but never before on thousands of civilians.  All of this was brought upon us in a single day -- and night fell on a different world, a world where freedom itself is under attack.

Americans have many questions tonight.  Americans are asking:  Who attacked our country?  The evidence we have gathered all points to a collection of loosely affiliated terrorist organizations known as al Qaeda.  They are the same murderers indicted for bombing American embassies in Tanzania and Kenya, and responsible for bombing the USS Cole.

Al Qaeda is to terror what the mafia is to crime.  But its goal is not making money; its goal is remaking the world -- and imposing its radical beliefs on people everywhere. …

Fellow citizens, we'll meet violence with patient justice -- assured of the rightness of our cause, and confident of the victories to come.  In all that lies before us, may God grant us wisdom, and may He watch over the United States of America.

Sacrifice of a Korean man by Iraq extremists

South Korean translator, Sun-il Kim was kidnapped by Iraq extremists, members of Al-Zarqawi

Al-Zarqawi is the same sort of extremist group like al-Qaeda, which attacked the World Trace Center of the United States

Al Zarqawi demanded South Korea to cancel its plans to send 3,000 more troops to Iraq

Moreover, South Korea was forced to withdraw the 660 military medics and engineers to release Kim

The video showing Kim’s urgent request to cancel troops was reported by Al Jazeera

When South Korea refused to meet demands, extremists immediately killed Kim

Fear of world terror George W Bush said, "The free

world cannot be intimidated by the brutal actions of these barbaric people."

Kim’s sacrifice was about two years after 9/11

Murder of Kim represents how wicked Iraq extremists are and how they attack the world peace

People from all around the world started being worried about threat of terror of Iraq extremists

After 9/11, threat of Iraq extremists caused the United States to defend from being attacked and declare the war with Iraq.

The United States realized Saddam Hussein, the old dictator of Iraq, was the strongest cause of 9/11 .

White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer said, "The president ... believes that Saddam Hussein is a menace to world peace, a menace to regional peace, and that the world and the region will be safer and better off without Saddam."

Speaking of Saddam, Cheney said, "What he wants is time and more time to husband his resources to invest in ongoing chemical and biological weapons programs and to gain possession of nuclear weapons.... Time is not on our side."

After Hussein was sentenced to death, many Americans are still questioning how his death change the relationship with Iraq better.
