Compact Wastewater Treatment with the "Power of Nature"

The ReedBox® is a compact wastewater & sludge treat-ment system using aerated constructed wetlands. Our pa-tented technology was developed to offer a sustainable, easy-to-operate and cost-effective solution. The reliable treatment performance is achieved by interac-tions between water, plants, microorganisms, filter media and oxygen. The ReedBox® is available in two ISO con-tainer sizes; 40-ft. covering 60-80 persons treating up to 15 m3/day and a 20-ft. for 30-40 persons with a capacity of 7.5 m3/day.

With the ReedBox® being containerized it offers quick mobilisation. The Plug & Play feature allow for easy ins-tallation and commissioning. Unlike other conventional wastewater treatment systems, the ReedBox® will achieve high quality effluent within 24 hours from deployment - even after site relocation as part of e.g. drilling rig camp movement. The ReedBox® can handle short-term load fluctuations in terms of water quality and quantity. If long-term water quantity variations are expected as a result of changes in staff numbers, simply increase or decrease the amount of ReedBoxes® deployed.

Introduction

With the "Power of Nature" the ReedBox® offers simple operation combined with minimal maintenance require-ments. The wastewater is transferred into the treatment zone of the ReedBox® where the sludge will settle and water cleaned biologically without any need for chemicals, time consuming operation or maintenance. Once the treat-ment process is completed the effluent is collected and can be reused on-site.

Treated water can be used for drilling fluid preparation, well stimulation, cementing and for workers‘ camps on-site, which results in reduced con-sumption of fresh water and minimize environmental impact and cost.

Earthworks / road construction and maintenance activities often requires lar-ge volumes of water during compaction and dust suppression. Treated water can be stored in buffer tanks to be uti-lized as part of construction and mainte-nance to save water and logistics cost.

Concerned with water contamination, smell and low water quality? There is no need to doubt the treatment perfor-mance of the ReedBox®. The effluent can be used for washing of on-site heavy equipment and tools.

Our ReedBox® is having industry leading standards in terms of treatment performance and low environmental impact. It is also available in a more sustainable version. Using solar panels mounted on the ReedBox® we will be able to produce green energy to operate an entirely off-grid solution. Combined with a UV disinfection unit, our ReedBox® meets the highest quality standards, al-lowing humans to be in contact with the effluent during reuse application e.g. washing of equipment/tools.
