May 29 - Whitewater Rafting Join us on our tradition Memorial Day Weekend whitewater raft trip! We’ve reserved a paddle just for you on the Cache La Poudre so that you can be sure to have a piece of the adventure. Expect to get wet in Class III and IV water on this full day trip. Trip is a paddle trip which means you’ll be assisting your highly trained guide as you maneuver through powerful rapids and around intimidating rocks! Trip includes transportation, wetsuit, splash jacket, helmet and a shore lunch. Minimum age is 16. Experience is not required, but adrenalin junkies are encouraged to sign up! Military Spouse Orientation Tour A bus orientation tour is scheduled

Missoula Children’s Theater August 1 - 6. The cost is $5. Tortoise vs. the Hare is this year’s production.

Two professional MCT Tour Actor/Directors audition and cast 50 - 60 school-age children in a full-length original musical production with staging, songs and movement are learned in four-and-a-half hours each day, Monday through Friday (two 2-hour sessions with a short snack break in between). The week culminates in two public performances complete with professionally designed scenery and costumes.

Youth Golf LessonsYouth Sports is offering an

introductory Tee Level Golf Clinic to the first 60 kids ages 6 - 18 to sign up. Participants will be taught the fundamentals of golf. Equipment provided. Registration is May 1 - 26 at the Youth Center.

The cost is $30 per child and includes a golf polo shirt, a rule book and refreshments. A morning and afternoon session will be offered on the following dates: Tuesday, June 7, Thursday, June 9, Tuesday, June 14 and Thursday, June 16. Summer CampsMilitary 4-H Camp June 20 - 23,

8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. for ages 5 - 13. Free! Join with military kids from Air/Army National Guard for a week of fun. Biking, wall climbing, mobile tech lab, botanic gardens, spray park, fishing, a foil lunch over the campfire and more. Space limited to 40.

Music Camp June 27 - 30. Three sessions for ages 5 - 8, 9 - 12 and 13 - 18. The cost is $10. Explore a range of instruments and musical styles in a fun and creative atmosphere. Through the use of percussion instruments, guitar, keyboard and multicultural instruments and exposure to a range of musical styles, the instructor will encourage individual creative expression as well as teamwork to create a musical performance for family and friends.

Movie Making Camp July 11 - 23 for ages 12 - 18. The cost is $25. Participants will have the opportunity to use their creative talents and experience working as a team to explore theme, choosing locations, set development, filming, lighting, directing, costume, make-up, acting, editing, and final production of film shorts. The camp will conclude with a Film Festival open to the community to showcase teen talents.

Beginning Tennis LessonsYouth ages 6 - 18 can learn the

basics of tennis during a two week session June 13 - 24. Classes are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9:45 - 11 a.m. at the base tennis courts. The cost is $30 per child and includes a tennis polo shirt and an end-of-class ice cream party. Space is limited, register at the Youth Center. Register May 1 - 26. Class size is limited to the first 24 students.

Volunteers are need for these and other Youth Sports Activities.

First Steps Tee BallFirst Steps Tee Ball is for kids ages

3 - 4 and covers the fundamental of baseball. The cost is $30 and includes practices, scrimmages, Tee shirt and snacks. Starts June 1 and will be held on Wednesdays, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Parent participation is required. Registration is May 2 - 26 and is limited to the first 20 kids. A parent meeting is set for May 26, 6 p.m.

Military Teen Adventure CampsWould you like to spend time

whitewater rafting, hiking, rock climbing, winter camping, skiing, backpacking, mountain biking, exploring the environment, running rope courses, geo-caching, or practicing wilderness survival skills? Military teens (14-18 years old) will have an opportunity to participate in adventure camps scheduled April 2011 through April 2012.
