Educational Visits

Boulangerie les Co’pains

Children will make bread the traditional way with natural yeast, kneading and knocking the dough back by hand. They will discover all about different grains and types of bread. We will also visit the mill to find out about flour and the process of making wheat into bread. The children will bring home the bread they make!

Normandy Landing beaches & WW2 Military Cemetery

The impressive cemetery and museum is dedicated to the Normandy campaign of WW2 from the D Day landings up to the liberation of Paris.

It is a fascinating and very moving place.

The beaches now are like any others. We will encourage the children to reflect on how different they must have been 70 years ago!

On the cliff tops above Arromanches-les-Bains, this 360 cinema will give us a realistic view of what life was like during the Normandy landings on D Day and beyond.

Bayeux tapestry

The story told in embroidery of the Battle of Hastings and the subsequent Norman Conquest of Britain.

An amazing piece of history that is incredibly well preserved and superbly detailed.
