o Stryker Program Management Office (PMO) established an interagency environmental management team that focused on:

- Testing: studied life-cycle environmental impacts and pollution prevention considerations and incorporated them into the design

- Manufacturing: developed the first halon-free crew explosion protection system that eliminates many uses of cadmium and chromium

- Operations: a design that catches spent shell casings and that also traps fluids that were released to the environment in other combat vehicles

- Disposal: reduced hazardous materials use in the design, manufacturing, and operations processes

o Soldier/Leader training – it’s about our people and it starts when a soldier joins the Armyo Environmental Awareness/Training – Army wants all of

its people to know and understand the connectivity of our mission and the environment

o Well-Being : - Residential Community Initiative – (RCI)

- Energy and water management

- DPW supporting people, readiness, and transformation

SOLDIERS/LEADERSInstallations must be capable of supporting the training of Soldiers into the next century and not limit or jeopardize the ability to meet the mission in the future
