Saturday 11.4.

9:30 - 11:30 Anne Kelly A window on the world

Using a mixture of fabrics and paper scraps you will recreate part of your favourite view. You will make a fabric

collage and stitch some details over the top.

11:45 - 14:45 Kathy Loomis Fine line piecing

Learn to piece very fine lines, and make a small pieced top in which you use thin lines to fracture the surface.

15:00 – 18:00 Cas Holmes Layers, lines and image

Through sampling with layered cloth, stitch, paper and mixed media you will create unique surfaces which can

later be worked with machine and hand stitch techniques.

Friday 10.4.

12:00 – 15:00 Martine Apaolaza Bakery

With the French artist Martine Apaolaza you are going to make an adorable applique picture „Bakery“. At the

same time you will learn from her different helpful tips and hints how to make a perfect applique.

15:15 - 18:00 Rita Schaffer Gee´s Bend Quilt

For free cutting technique following the Gee´s Bend quilts you will use old jeans and coloured fabrics.

Sunday 12.4.

9:30 - 13:30 Uta LenkThe solution to some piecing problems – half-

closed seams

Learn to piece and sew complicated curved lines using half-closed seams.

13:45 -16:00 Rita Schaffer Embroidery in printing

Combination of two techniques – printing and stitching over it – will help you to create both, big or small

projects: quilts, tablecloth, placemats, napkins, small handbags etc.

Kaffe Fassett is visiting Prague again! He uses most class time in teaching the arrangement of fabrics to develop each

student´s own personal color palette in making one of his original designs.

10:00 - 16:00 Brandon Mably Poppy field

Enjoy creative knitting workshop with Brandon Mably from the Kaffe Fassett Design Studio. This workshop is for

knitters who are interested in sharpening their colour observation in design.
