Nine common Tactics to know while writing your resume
When you attach passion to your dream, you get yourself closer to achivening it...!!!!“
What is a Resume?
• A resume is a document used by a person to present their backgrounds and skills. Résumés can be used for a variety of reasons, but most often they are used to secure new employment. A typical résumé contains a "summary" of relevant job experience and education.
• It summarizes your education, employment history, and experiences that are relevant to your qualifications for a particular job for which you are applying. The purpose of a résumé (along with your cover letter) is to get an interview.
• A résumé needs to be persuasive and perfect along with user-centered.
1.Avoid Typos and Grammat ica l error
Mistakes on your resume can expose traits about yourself which can ultimately keep an employer from offering you a job.• Misspellings• Bad Formatting
Misspel l ings• Humans, the very word tells you
that we're prone to unsophisticated blunders.• Misspellings are one of the
easiest mistakes to make. “Recieve” instead of “receive”• Doesn't show you are unable to
perform your job instead shows that you don't show adequate attention in detail
Bad Formatt ing
Formatting your resume can be tricky, and even the smallest mistake can get your resume thrown away.
2.One resume for a l l or mass mai l ing
• Define resume according to job requirement, not same to all.• It's not wrong but gives a bad
impression that yu are not interested in the job.
3.Keywords• Adding keywords gives extra credit
to your resume that you've taken paid attention while writing your resume.• Keywords are the terms that hiring
managers use to screen resumes and cover letters to find applicants that are a good fit for a job.
4.Object ive
The objective is mainly used to make you stand out of the normal person and making the employers impressed.
It should be user-centered, short and concise.
5.Too Long or too short• Employers don't have enough
time to go through the too long resume. There might be a good chance that it can be thrown away.• But at the same time, if it's too
short, it shows that you are lacking communication skills. (Inability to convey your thoughts)
6.Be yourse l f
• Honesty will create a better match between you and the interviewer.• But at the same time, you have
to fake it sometimes because sometimes there is a fine line between "being yourself" and being "business appropriate”.
7.Use Bul lets
The format of a resume should be standard, flexible and representative.
Bullets make it highlightable instead of reading consecutively.
Use bullets to make more representative.
8.Being Vague• Being vague is nothing but confusion
or dilemma situation.
• Don't mention on each & everything on the resume.
• It can become unclear to your potential employers what your focus actually is. You don’t want to make it harder for your potential employers to see what your goal is.
9.Resume Format• This is one of the major mistakes
that we have to change intelligently.
• Our resume format changes by profession to profession.
• Keep your resume short, simple and eye-catching.
