CABLE HARNESS TEST

Special spring contact probes for cable harness test in the

automotive industry show one very special feature: Contact

probe and receptacle are connected via thread. Recurring

removal forces, applied during plug connector test, cannot

pull the spring contact probe out of its receptacle. Suitable

screw-in tools for various probe series are available on

request.

Along with normal spring contact probes, switch contactprobes are available which provide connection only when a

defined minimal travel value has been reached. This helps

to easily test for correct installation dimensions or to check

the presence of components.

Some spring contact probes feature a large plate shaped

disk below the probe head. This is used to define or limit

the penetration depth of the probe head into female con-

nectors or connector housings.

As is the case for other sectors, some sort of standardisati-

on took place, so that brand-name products from different

manufacturers are interchangeable. Our cable test productsare compatible with those from other brands. We would

like to assist you in translating article codes from other

brands.
