What are we trying to accomplish and why?
The Future of National Service ~ CNCS 2011 – 20152. Strengthen national service so that participants engaged in CNCS-supported programs consistently find satisfaction, meaning and opportunity•CNCS supports the national service network in providing experiences that offer a unique combination of professional, educational and life benefits to service participants. The network also recruits a diversity of Americans, especially those from underrepresented populations. We will collaborate with the national service network to strengthen outreach efforts in underserved communities and to implement best practices that ensure a powerful service experience.

NSIP 2011 Inclusion Team Survey Results to date:•19 states have active inclusion teams•An additional 12 states are planning to start an inclusion team

Choosing a Focus Area
• Please sign up for the focus area you would like to work on
• These sub committees work best when they are a mix of people from the national service world and the disability community
Develop one BROAD GOAL
For each GOAL develop 2 – 3 Objectives• what can we accomplish in ONE YEAR
For each Objective, develop Action Steps• what strategies, people, and general resources do we
need?• what are are target dates – benchmarks?• who will get it done?• how will we know we are successful?
