East Hardin Middle School 2013-2014 8th Grade Supply List Recommended Items: 1. Paper-Wide or college ruled loose leaf with smooth edges 2. Folders-7 folders minimum with 2 pockets and 3 center brads 3. Pencils-#2 lead, minimum 2 dozen (extra lead for mechanical pencils) 4. Calculator-TI-34 Multiview (Please put name on calculator with permanent marker) 5. Copy Paper-2 reams or more (to be given to 1 st period teacher) 6. Binder-2-2 or more inches with pockets (Fantastics Team only) 7. Composition Notebooks-2 (Fantastics Team Only-to be given to the Science teacher) 8. Quart and Gallon Size Ziploc Bags- 1 box each 9. Sketchbook and 1 roll of paper towels-will be used in Art Class Wish List: (Your contributions of these items will be greatly appreciated) 1. Facial Tissue- 2 boxes or more (to be given to 1 st period teacher) 2. Paper Towels- 3 rolls or more (to be given to 1 st period teacher) *Calculators may be ordered for $20.00 during open house or during the first week of school. Please see Mrs. Gibson to place your order. **Your child may be asked to bring in other items from time to time for special projects in each class. ***The paper towels and tissues will be shared with the Related Arts teachers. ****It may help helpful to buy 16 or more of the folders, plenty of loose leaf paper and pencils. These items usually do not last all year and students will run out of paper and need new pencils. These items are quite inexpensive during July & August, but can be very difficult to find or are more expensive during December and January. *****Your student will only need paper and pencil or the first day of school. They will need to bring all supplies with them on Thursday, August 9th.
