Classroom Procedures- Getting out of your seat

• When can I sharpen my pencil or throw away trash or get tissue?

• ANYTIME! As long as you do so without distraction ☺ You do not have to raise your hand and ask permission for these things.

• What do I do if I need to use the restroom or want to get water?

• Restroom only in an EMERGENCY- go during designated breaks

• One Emergency pass a week• Please fill out the HALL PASS of agenda COMPLETELY (Date,

where, time) • Invest in a WATER BOTTLE- you can have these at all times

and fill up throughout the day• Flexible Seating: Standing or sitting on the floor is an

option! As long as you are not blocking someone’s view or moving around, go for it!

BYOD-

• Red day= no phones or headphones

• Yellow Day= you might need it, but keep it away until your told to use it

• Green Day= you need it, make sure you have it!

HALLWAYS = RED ZONE

• No headphones, texting, etc. while transitioning

We use devices A LOT in social studies to

research! Use them appropriately!

Research can always be done using textbooks ☺

No charging phones in the classroom. Portable chargers are good!

Classroom Jobs• Distributor/Collector- Pass out any papers. Collect papers from students as needed. Please be respectful and minimize any classroom disruption during your job. • Class Secretary- You will be responsible for any help I may need during class. This may mean helping students, answering the phone, going to the office or providing work to ISS. You will keep the class agenda. • Attendance- Your job is to take roll during the beginning of the class period. • Absent Work- Your job is to gather papers from the day and put any absent students name on them and place them in the ABSENT folders. You will also write in a brief summary of what we did in class each day. • Class Ambassador- Your job is to be the student representative of our classroom. In case of a substitute you can help him/her with papers or procedures. You are in charge of the Red bag in case of a fire drill. You will greet guests at the door. You will also greet and assist new students in our classroom. •Tech Helper- Monitor students retrieving laptops or other devices. Make sure students sign up for the device and return the device to its appropriate location.

It is an agreement between ALL members of the classroom on how we want to be treated and expect each other to act.
