OperationThe Quadivator Cultivator is attached to therear hitch on the ATV or lawn tractor. It isequipped with harrows and electric depthcontrol which is operated from a switch that ismounted on the towing vehicle.

Check the pneumatic wheels on the Quadivatordaily. They should have 30 psi.

Do not exceed 5 mph or 8 kph. The cultivatorwill not do a good tillage job if ground speed istoo high.

During heavy duty use, operate at a slowerspeed or go over the area twice. Repeat tillage,if necessary.

General Operation1. Attach the cultivator to the rear hitch of theATV or lawn tractor. Secure with pin thatpasses completely through the ATV hitch and

    cultivator hitch.

    2. Attach electrical switch to ATV to operate theactuator. Route & secure electrical wiring so it isaway from contact or pinch points between ATVand cultivator.

    3. Lift the cultivator with the actuator.

NOTE: When the cultivator is lowered to theground, the ATV must be in motion. The fronttines should make the first contact. Thecultivator will level out as the actuator is fully

    extended.

    4. Raise the cultivator with the actuator.

    5. When not in use: lower cultivator to groundso weight is removed from the wheels.

Guidelines for Use1. Best tillage results: work at speeds between4 6 mph (6 9 km/h). Reduce speed intrashy, rocky, rough conditions; or when usingthe cultivator extensions.

    2. Raise cultivator out of the ground beforemaking turns. Avoid making sharp turns thatcan contact the cultivator with the ATV or lawntractor.

    3. Do not make sharp turns while cultivator isbeing lowered in the soil.

    4. When the cultivator is plugging, raise tines move ahead till the tines are free of the material;lower unit, and continue the tillage operation.

    5. Harrow performance is affected by a variety

of field conditions, which includes soil type, condition, moisture and residue as well asspeed and depth. Run unit at desired speedand depth to check performance. Adjustdepth, if necessary.

Hitch HeightThe cultivator main frame should be level whenin working position. If not, adjust the front hitchclevis to hitch tube till main frame is level.Check ATV or lawn tractor if hitch can beadjusted by referring to its operators manual.

    1. Loosen the hex head lock nut, remove boltand adjust hitch tongue.

    2. Reinstall bolt, lock nut and secure.

Shovel or Spike ReplacementRemove one 3/8 x 1.5 plow bolt and flange locknut holding shovel to tine. Clean S-tine of dirtand debris before installing a new shovel.Secure new shovel with new hardware.

WARNING:Do not use at speedsexceeding 5 MPH (miles perhour) or 8 kph (kilometers perhour). Always wear certifiedsafety glasses or wide visionsafety goggles over yourglasses before starting, maintaining and operating thecultivator.
