In 2011, Allison worked as a bookkeeper for another company and offered to pay its bills with Big Sky Asphalt’s credit card. Owners discovered Allison made unauthorized purchases on the card totaling more than $249,600. Allison also wrote checks to herself, often for “reimbursable expenses,” on Big Sky Asphalt’s bank account, totaling more than $193,300. On those checks, Allison forged signatures of the company’s owners. Allison also opened a credit card account using Big Sky Asphalt’s name and charged more than $1,300 in expenses to places such as Macy’s, Nor- dstrom, Aeropostale, American Eagle, Babies ‘R Us and Kohls. During roughly the same time period that she was embezzling from Big Sky Asphalt, Allison was receiv- ing unemployment benefits from the state. The market runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Heck/Quaw Elementary School gymnasium in Belgrade.
