In Grayson County, an increased appropriat ion of $282.09 i s hereby made f o r the completion of roadside improvement work on FAP 539—i Control 47-2-5, Highway No. 6. There was a necessary small increase i n quanti ty of common road excavation and the engineering cost was s l i g h t l y greater than the amount setup f o r that purpose.

I n Gregg County, i t i s ordered tha t the 1938 Grade Crossing Program be modified to enlarge the approved pro jec t in Longview wi th the Texas and Pac i f i c Railway to include the Missouri Pac i f i c Railway and to s h i f t locat ion from Fourth Street to F i f t h Street, at a t o t a l estimated cost of $288,000.00 f o r the entire pro jec t as now proposed, and the State Highway Engineer is d i rected to submit t h i s pro jec t to the U. I n Hutchinson County, i t is ordered by the Commission that an appropriation of $15,127.35 be made to cover the cost of re locat ing a 1.06 miles section of Highway No. 117 from Borger Northwest, and con­s t ruc t grading and drainage s t ruc ture , f l e x i b l e base and asphalt sur­facing on t h i s section of road i n order t o eliminate several serious t r a f f i c hazards exis t ing on the old road because of excessive curvature and short sight distances. IT IS ORDERED by the Commission tha t Minute No. 13028 previously passed by the Commission authorizing an appropriat ion of $10,000.00 f o r placing 18 inch stone and g r a v e l shoulders on t h i s section of road be amended to provide f o r the placing of 5 f o o t native sledged stone shoulders, using Works Progress Administrat ion labor, the cost of t h i s work to t h i s Department not to exceed the appropriation previously made.
