Clarence Jazz Festival Scholars Clarence Jazz Festival is dedicated to developing the next generation of young Tasmanian players. As part of its commitment it invites three young artists to participate in a scholarship program which provides six months of private lessons with top tutors. Artist in Residence Through its Cultural Arts Program, Clarence Council commissions artists to create works that complement the Jazz Festival. This year’s Artist in Residence is Sally Glover whose passion lies in the visual creative realm. She has created paintings that will be on display during the festival and have been recreated as wine labels for our festival vintage range.
