Costa Verde Village is located just a few minutes from La Jolla Village Square andUniversity Towne Centre (UTC) shopping mall. Downtown San Diego is reachable in20 minutes by car and 45 minutes by public transportation. There are manysupermarkets, such as Bristol Farms and Vons, within a 10-minute walk. There aremany conveniences, such as Starbucks, McDonald’s, Subway, currency exchangeservices, banks, and department stores.

Costa Verde Village is made up of 6 complexes of over 1200 apartments. Studentscan choose between single or twin rooms. Each apartment consists of a living room,bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen including a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a microwaveoven, sink, and a bathroom. In each bedroom there is a bed, a bedside table, lamp,and a closet.

The apartments have a sharing ratio of 1 bathroom between 2 students. Bed linensand towels are provided, but students must bring their own beach towels. Eachapartment has a clothes washer and dryer which students may use at no extracharge. Students can make free local phone calls. To make international calls,students need to buy a phone card which will unblock the phone.

Directions by bus: Walk to La Jolla Village Drive (just a 1-minute walk from thecomplex), the sign on the front of the bus will read “Downtown S.D.” and take bus #30.Exit the bus in downtown La Jolla at Silverado Street and Hershel Ave. EC San Diegois located at 1225 Prospect Street on the second floor. When you get off the bus, gonorth to Prospect Street. At Prospect Street, turn right and cross Ivanhoe Avenue. Weare located past the corner of Ivanhoe Avenue and next to Covo Restaurant.

Students can purchase a bus pass from several supermarkets, the rates may vary butusually start from $5 a day or $72 per month.

Directions by car: Go left on Costa Verde Blvd. and turn left at La Jolla Village Drive.Turn left at Torrey Pines Road. Continue driving down the big hill and turn right ontoProspect Street. EC San Diego is located at 1225 Prospect Street next to CovoRestaurant.

Take a taxi to the apartment complex bygiving taxi driver the address listedabove. When you arrive, please followthe instructions given to you in youraccommodation confirmation letter toaccess your apartment.

Students cancelling or postponing 14days or less prior to their accommodationdates will be charged a two-weekaccommodation fee at the rate quoted inthe price list for the accommodationbooked and the accommodationplacement fee.

Students leaving their accommodationmust give notice in writing 4 weeksprior to termination. If the 4-weeknotice period is not provided acancellation fee equal to 4 weeks ofthe accommodation cost will apply. After deducting the price ofaccommodation used at the ratequoted in the price list, including therequired notice period charged at thesame rate, students will be refundedthe remaining accommodation costs.
