A WONDERFUL LIFETIMETbe following delightful letter comes from one of

KDKA's regular listeners Mrs. Margaret Minteer.of East End, Pittsburgh:I am 86 years old and my friends think I ought to be an

ornament or a ecuvenir. So I just got a radio, and now Iameni~xinl' life again. When 6rst I listened in I was astonished at how I could sit

at home while educated people would talk and sing to me.1r is 80 different from my strtJtj:gles in life for a bare living

and Barnum and Bailey's circus once every ten years.I can hardly believe that I have lived to see the time when

aU the people come through the air and sing to me. Itmakesme think of the fairy tales of my childhood. and my daughter'sfamily sit and laugh at my face when J am listening to UncleWiggiIy.

Think what a wonderful change has taken placein the world since this woman was a girl. Duringthat time many new things have been contributedto the comfort. convenience and pleasure of man-kind. A few that come to mind instantly are thetelephone, automobile. airplane. electric lights andother conveniences in the factory, office and home, the X-ray, radium-and we might prolong the listalmost indefinitely. It is indeed a pleasure to receive a letter from

one who has lived through such an interesting timein the history of civilization. If there are others of our hearers who are past

the age of seventy-five we shall be glad to hearfrom them and would be especially pleased toreceive photographs showing them making use oftheir radio sets.
