76th Thessaloniki International Fair

THE BIGGEST FINANCIAL EVENT OF THE YEAR

Maintaining its modern profile, continuously oriented towards the future, the International Fair of Thessaloniki, includes numerous cultural and entertaining events, thus transforming itself into the city’s biggest celebration. Meanwhile T.I.F. promotes commercial transactions and entrepreneurship and therefore contributes to the reinforcement of the Greek economy.

T.I.F., organized by HELEXPO SA, is the biggest and most important Fair in Greece, which manages to attract 250.000 visitors due to its mixed character.

Exhibitors : Ministries and other State Organizations This sector has an interactive character, an “active participation of the visitors”, aiming at the promotion of State works and projects which facilitate the every-day life of the citizens.

One of the most attractive exhibits of the Fair has always been the automotive, which could by no means be missing from this year’s Fair. Together with the cars, visitors can also see motorbikes, caravans and campers.

This is the Section where all Foreign participations can be found and international collaborations are promoted. Italy, France, India, Brazil, Turkey, Egypt and Hungary are some of the countries that officially participate in this section.

A country that is religiously close to Greece and which has given birth to one of the most important inventors of all times, Nicola Tesla. The birth place of Emir Kustorica, Goran Bregovic, the Nobel awarded writer Ivo Andric and the country with the hundreds of monasteries.

Water, buildings, transportation, entertainment and food are some of the subjects that visitors are asked to consider and actively participate in the study of technology and means in order to come up with potentially sustainable solutions for the preparation of the city of 2050. This special section was nominated for the interior design award FX Award, due to its state-of-the-art technologies, the interest in the environment and sustainable development as well as for its unique design.

Insectopia is an introductory trip into the micro-world of real insects. An exhibition of live insects in a natural environment simulation.
