The HK11 A1 is a delay blowback-operat-ed, closed-bolt firing, heavy-barrelled,air-cooled, light machine gun capable ofsemi-automatic and fully automatic fire.

It uses the same 20-round box magazineas the G3 rifle. Barrel changing is quickand simple.

The weapon is easily field-stripped andcompletely disassembled into its components without tools.

The lightweight bipod, which providesincreased stability to the weapon forprone fire, can be attached and removedin an instant.

The roller-delayed blowback action andthe recoil-buffer unit contribute to accuracy with extremely low felt recoiland minimum muzzle climb, especially in fully automatic fire.

The cold-hammered barrel is made ofspecial high-strength steel and its chamber and bore are chrome-plated forlong service life.

All other metal components are alsomade of special steel while the grip and the stock are made of high-strengthplastic.

Simplicity of operation and mainte-nance, high accuracy and reliability, versatility and ease of carriage makethis weapon ideal for the armed forces.

The sighting system includes a drum-type rearsight with an aperture which is adjustable for windage and elevation.

A telescopic or night sight may easily be fitted.

The HK11 A1 light machine gun is alightweight yet rugged weapon capableof delivering a larger volume of sustained fire up to the maximum effective range of 1200 m with highaccuracy and reliability.

It is supplied with a carrying sling and a complete field-service kit.
