7 Reasons to See Turks and Caicos

1 – Grace Bay Beach

The Grace Bay beach in Provo (Providenciales) is the most popular beach and has the most amazing luxury hotels of Turks and Caicos. A long 12 mile stretch of soft ashen sand that has become home to several luxury hotels and restaurants there is no wonder why Grace Bay is a favorite in an island where beaches are aplenty. If you stay near the Alexandra, you will have walking distance access some of the best eats and water sports rentals in the island.

2 – Smith’s Reef

Smith’s reef is one of the many in the island. Like most of the other reefs, you can literally walk into the water and 5 to 10 steps later, you can find yourself surrounded by colorful marine life. This means that the area is ideal for snorkeling of all levels. You will be sharing the reefs with other curious critters such as turtles, lobsters and sting rays.

3 – Sibonne Beach Hotel

Sibonne Beach Hotel is without a doubt one of the most popular hotels on Grace Bay Beach and with good reason. Overlooking Grace Bay itself, it is the perfect anti-hotel and the mellow vibe of the property is what relaxing holidays are made of. The hotel has private access to the beach for when you don’t want to be surrounded by throngs of tourists.

4 – Point Grace Resort and Spa

One of the luxury hotels Turks and Caicos on Grace Bay, Point Grace Resort and Spa has modern and contemporary décor. The property has 2 international restaurants, a bar, spa and even a business center (although we hope you won’t need to use it on your vacation!) The hotel is 15 minutes away from the airport.

5 – Turks and Caicos National Museum

The Turks and Caicos National Museum is a great break from all the sand and sea and a great way to see Turks and Caicos on a rainy day. Displays in the museum chronicle the natural history of the island as well as their history involving slave trade. Also in the museum is information regarding shipwreck that can be found around the island.

6 – Taylor Bay

Taylor Bay is the ideal beach to bring the kids. A wide expanse of warm, shallow beach water means that parents can feel safe knowing their kids are not going to suddenly slip into steep underwater drop-offs. The shallow water is turquoise and clear enough where you can actually see starfish off in the distance. White sparkling sand all around make the beach even more attractive.

7 – Horseback Riding

Going horseback riding is another great way to experience the beaches around the island. Several companies offer excursions both on land and partially submerged in beach water.
