7 SHAMPOO

Completely rinse solution from the hair for 5-7 minutes with cool water• Gently shampoo hair twice with Brazilian Blowout Açai Anti-Frizz Shampoo in a downward motion pulling solution from the hair• Be sure that ALL product is thoroughly rinsed and washed out

8 APPLY MASQUE

5-10 Minutes

Apply Brazilian Blowout Açai Deep Conditioning Masque for 5-10 minutes, depending on the porosity of the hair. Rinse thoroughly and lightly towel dry.• For fine, porous hair, leave masque on for at least 10 minutes• For course, non-porous hair, leave masque on for at least 5 minutes

9 BLOW DRY

Blow dry hair from wet to 100% dry taking 1.5cm-3cm sections. • Use Brazilian Blowout Round Boar Bristle Brush (or similar bristle brush)• Use high heat and as much tension as possible for smooth, sleek results• Hold concentrator directly on hair pointing down in the direction of your blow dry

FLAT IRON

Ease tension on the ends

10Flat Iron whole head of hair using the Brazilian Blowout ProDigital Titanium Flat Iron or professional digital flat iron that reaches 230°C (450°F) • Flat iron in .5cm size sections with an average of 7-10 passes; 10-15 passes may be required for extremely resistant hair• Temperature should be between 200°C-230°C (390°F-450°F) based on the porosity and integrity of the hair• Fewer passes and less tension through the ends is highly recommended

The treatment is now complete, no rinse necessary. Client can resume daily activity including: exercising, swimming, putting hair in a ponytail or clip etc. upon completion of treatment.

The Brazilian Blowout Smooth Professional Ultra Smoothing Treatment must be performed by a certified licensed stylist and must be used with appropriate ventilation and in accordance with manufacturer instructions. Stylists should wear protective gloves when performing this treatment. Both stylists and clients should wear protective eyewear for optimal protection. If the Brazilian Blowout Smooth Ultra Smoothing Solution comes into contact with the skin, wash immediately. If ingested or in contact with eyes, call a physician. If you are nursing or pregnant do not use this product. Do not use this product on children, pregnant women, chemically sensitive clients, the elderly or clients with respiratory conditions. Keep out of reach of children. Strand testing is recommended before performing chemical services.

1 SHAMPOO

Shampoo hair thoroughly with Brazilian Blowout Açai Anti-Residue Shampoo at least 3 times.• Shampoo as many times as needed to achieve a squeaky clean result• Do not use any conditioner or detangling products

2 TOWEL DRY

Lightly towel dry hair to remove excess moisture.• Hair should be damp, not dripping wet, prior to applying solution• Use a spray bottle if hair dries during the service to re-wet hair

3 DIVIDE HAIR

Divide hair into 4 even sections utilizing a profile section from front-to-back and a radial section from ear-to-ear.

4 MEASURE SOLUTION

Shake the bottle prior to dispensing.(see chart below to determine the average amount of solution to use)

5 APPLY SOLUTION

Apply the solution section-by-section using a clean applicator brush and comb. • Apply solution in 1.5cm sections starting at nape of head and work your way to the top • Apply directly to root (not scalp) and ensure that each strand is completely saturated (DO NOT saturate the scalp) • For porous or processed hair, saturate root to mid-shaft. Wait to pull through ends until the last 15 minutes of processing time

6 PROCESS

30-45 Minutes

Processing time will depend on the porosity of the hair. Use professional judgement.• Processed and porous hair should process for up to 30 minutes (only pulling ends through for the last 15 minutes of processing time)• Resistant, non-porous and virgin hair should process for up to 45 minutes

CONSULTATIONThe Select Professional Ultra Smoothing Solution is specifically designed to smooth all hair types with the exception of weak, over-processed hair. Leading Brazilian Blowout stylists have found that careful attention to detail always yields a perfect result. In order to ensure a superior result, always begin with an in-depth consultation.

Client Color History Your client’s color history will allow you to determine the hair’s condition. It is important to determine the date of your client’s last color treatment. No chemical or color services should be performed on hair for at least 2 weeks before or after a Select treatment.

Client Chemical Treatment HistoryYour client’s chemical treatment history (i.e. previous keratin treatments, perms, chemical relaxing, straightening treatments, etc.) will allow you to better assess the true condition of the hair, and present you with an opportunity to discuss why the Brazilian Blowout is appropriate/best for their particular hair type. It is important to note that this treatment SHOULD NOT be performed on clients that have used relaxer in 3 months prior to using Smooth. After a Smooth Treatment, clients SHOULD NOT use a relaxer for 1 year.

IMPORTANT!• Do NOT perform on weak, over-processed hair.• Do NOT use on hair that has been relaxed in the last three months.• Clients should not use relaxers for one full year after receiving a Select treatment.• No chemical or color services should be performed during the 2 weeks before or after a
