Depending on its use in a sentence, pronouns have different forms: Subject Object Singular neu. I me You you It it fem she her masc he him Plural we us You you They them Singular is one; plural is more than one. For most nouns, simply add s to form the plural. Example: Jan baked 2 cakes today. For other nouns, there are some general rules to make the plural. Noun ends in –y – if the –y is preceded by a vowel, simply add s; if the –y is preceded by a consonant, change the –y to –i and add –es. Examples: You may bring 1 toy, not 2 toys. I’m making a strawberry pie. I love strawberries. Noun ends in –fe or –f – change the -f to -v, and add –es. Examples: There is a pretty red leaf. I need to rake the leaves. Jesus gave His life for us. Our lives should reflect that. Noun ends in –sh, -ch, -ss, or –x – add –es. Examples: There is one true Church. There are many churches in my town.
