a regular basis. If these toxins build up, they can influence your metabolic rate and how

Cinnamon contains Vitamin K and also contains calcium and iron, two of the top
minerals needed for our bodies. Cinnamon also contains manganese, and is an

Liver Cleansing Foods: Cleanse & Maintain a Healthy Fat Burning Furnace
Food #1: Cruciferous Vegetables (destroy fat storing estrogen) Cruciferous vegetables contain a naturally
occurring ingredient called 3,3′-
Diindolylmethane or DIM for short. DIM is
strongly anti-estrogenic, so it helps block
xenoestrogens (sometimes called
obsesogens)…otherwise known as BAD
estrogen that accumulates inside your body
from constant exposure to environmental
toxins.
This hormone is the reason why women are storing more and more belly fat in
today’s day and age – and it’s also responsible for chronically low testosterone
levels in men. This causes all kinds of nasty side effects like facial hair in women and
“man boobs” in men. Not to mention it makes it VERY difficult to lose weight.
DIM not only wards of off bad estrogen, it also acts as an immunostimulant, which
means it can naturally “boost” your immune system, and Wikipedia even touts this
ingredient to have various potent anticancer properties. So including these foods in your

Obvious choices to add to your daily nutrition plan are broccoli, cauliflower, spinach,

minerals such as calcium, and are also
high in antioxidants and
phytonutrients. Although mildly
bitter in taste, they help aid in
kidney and liver detox. They are
known as being the ultimate in detox
and cleansing of all greens, and are
also known for their anti-inflammatory
properties.
They are also higher in protein than a single serving of spinach, containing all
essential amino acids.
Health benefits of dandelion greens include, but are not limited to, reducing the risks of
cancer, cataracts, and multiple sclerosis. Dandelion greens can be found in health food
stores and farmer markets.
If you’re feeling run down, extremely tired, or overstressed, try a cup of dandelion tea.
Dandelion greens can be added to your green smoothie (1 – 2 cups are sufficient), or
can be eaten in a salad with fresh ginger, and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Try this

Apples are high in insoluble fiber and the soluble
fiber, Pectin, which helps the body get rid of metals
and food additives. Apples also contain glucaric
acid which rids the body of estrogen-like chemicals,
steroids, and heavy metals.
The skin of an apple contains high levels of
phytochemicals, which help your body for overall
health. They are low on the glycemic scale, which
means slower absorption with a gradual rise in
blood sugar and insulin.
Pectin also helps cleanse your intestines and helps lower cholesterol.
Apples are high in water and fiber content, making you feel fuller longer. They also help
aid in weight loss.
Eat a whole apple, including the skin, rather than applesauce, to gain all the nutrients

Apples are packed with disease fighting vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
One of the most essential and overlooked parts of human health is the beneficial

and increasing stamina.
Beetroot juice is one of the richest
dietary sources of antioxidants and
naturally occurring nitrates. Because
beets are a potent detoxifier, start with
a lower dose of beetroot juice – ¼ cup
to start, and then increase it over time
to 1 cup to 2 cups
One to two cups of beetroot juice a day have been shown to have a significant effect for
lowering blood pressure as well.
Beets are a great source of important minerals, vitamins and nutrients. They contain
iron, zinc, calcium and magnesium – all important elements to help flush out toxins from
your body. They also contain vitamins B3, B6, C, and beta carotene, and help thin
and stimulate the flow of bile to improve fat metabolism and detoxification.
Raw, shaved beets with ginger, lemon and fresh dandelion greens are a wonderful detox
salad.
Drinking beetroot juice can help keep your liver and digestive system in shape.
Avoid pesticides by only buying organic. If you don’t own a juicer, invest in one so that
you can juice an organic beet. The skin of a beet contains fiber, so be sure you keep the
skin on when juicing it.

Food #5 Garlic (garlic contains a compound needed
by the liver for effective liver detoxification): Garlic contains high amounts of vitamin
C, which supports your immune system
and your liver. It also contains
antioxidants, which help fight the
free radicals in your bloodstream
that are responsible for some of the
effects of aging, as well as being
linked to certain kinds of cancer and
heart disease.
A daily dose of garlic removes heavy
metals from the body because of the
sulphur present in the garlic.
The key to a successful garlic detox is to consume garlic on a regular basis, however, you
do not need to consume whole garlic cloves like most people believe. In fact,
consuming raw garlic does not necessarily have all the health benefits at all.
Garlic contains a natural substance called alliin. When you crush or chop fresh garlic,
this breaks down into allicin, which contains many of garlic’s healing properties and also
contributes to its strong smell.
The most important tips for consuming garlic are making sure that after you cut,
chop, or slice it, you set it aside for 15 minutes before using it or cooking it, in
order to further enhance the enzymes. Adding garlic near the end of cooking also
mellows out the sharp flavor and helps retain as many of the nutrients as possible.
A daily garlic supplement, preferably from a health food store, can be just as beneficial.
Eat garlic in your favorite pastas, pesto, greens, roasts, dressings and sauces. On your
cheat day, roast some garlic, and spread it on some fresh baked bread with butter.

Food #6 Brazil Nuts (raise your selenium levels and helps you get rid of extra mercury in foods)
Brazil Nuts contain one the highest
amounts of selenium and magnesium in
a food and also contain zinc. This seems
like a perfect food for helping the body
recover minerals though the chelation
process.
What are the benefits of taking selenium?
It flushes heavy metals. Together with
glutathione peroxidase, selenium acts by
binding with toxic heavy metals such as
mercury, lead and cadmium through a
process called chelation and flushing them
out of the body through urine.
Selenium helps protect against damage to liver cells, mobilizes cancer-fighting cells,
strengthens immunity and contributes to tissue elasticity – an essential for healthful liver
tissue.
Brazil Nuts are the very meaty and high-fat hard-shelled seeds... Brazil nuts are a good-
quality protein, yet are also about two-thirds fat, of which over 20 percent is saturated.
The average adult requires only 55 mcg of selenium a day for optimal health. One Brazil
nut can contain up to 100 mcg of selenium, therefore, you should limit your intake to no
