Saturdays .....................................................................5:00 pm (vigil)
Sundays ..........................................................8:00 am and 10:00 am
Holydays ..................................................................... As announced
Archdiocesan Lenten Regulations Ash Wednesday (Wednesday, February 14th) and Good Friday (Friday, March 30th) are days of abstinence for all Catholics over the age of 14. On these two days, fast, as well as abstinence, is also obligatory for those from the ages of 18-59. Abstinence means refraining from meat. Fast means on full meal a day, with two smaller meals and nothing between meals (liquids are permitted).
All Fridays in Lent are days of abstinence from meat. Catholics will not hold themselves lightly excused, but if there is a serious health problem, this obligation would not apply.
We should strive to make all days of Lent a time of prayer and penance.

A MESSAGE FROM FATHER RICH
It is hard to believe that the season of Lent begins on Wednesday.
Masses for Ash Wednesday are 6:00 am, 7:45 am, and 7:00 pm. As in the past there will be an additional Mass at 7:45 am on Saturdays with confessions after Mass and Stations of the Cross on Fridays at 7:00 pm.
The Adult Penance Service is scheduled for Monday, March 12th at 7:00 pm with additional priest available for confessions.
Next Sunday at the 10:00 am we will have the Rite of Enrollment for those in RCIA who will be presented to Bishop Rivituso at the Rite of Election at the Cathedral as they begin their final preparation to receive the sacraments at the Easter Vigil. Please pray for them.
This Friday there is a change in Mass schedule as the school is not in session. This is an opportunity for me to go visit a friend n the prison at Charleston, MO. Mass will be at 6:00 am.. Visiting times are limited and this allows me to spend some time with him.
Please pray that all of us may use this upcoming Lenten season as a opportunity to grow deeper in our relationship with the Lord.
God Bless,

Over the last several weeks the parish has received checks back from the bank because checks are being written out to HASA, Cards for Kids, St. Louis Review, etc. We would appreciate if all checks were made out to the parish (Immaculate Conception) and you use the memo section to include what the check was for (HASA, IC Building Fund, etc.) Thank you for your cooperation and assistance in this matter.
The exception to this is the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Continue to write those out to SVDP.

OUT AND ABOUT
DEACON NEAL’S REFLECTION CORNER
This Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. It is also Valentine's Day. Believe it or not Ash Wednesday is more important than Valentine's Day. Fasting and abstinence are required of all practicing Catholics. We all come to make sacrifices in order to help us focus on the sacrifice that Christ made for us.
I'd like to encourage you to make this Lent your journey to a closer relationship with Christ. It takes time, effort and sacrifice. Jesus stepped into TIME and through his EFFORTS started the Church and SACRIFICED himself for us, so that we can experience what true love is.
TIME, EFFORT AND SACRIFICE. Can we do that for him?
God bless, Deacon Neal

Sincere “thanks” to everyone who has offered their prayers, comforting words, and wonderful
memories of our dear dad and husband’s death. Thanks to Fr. Rich and Deacon Neal for the beautiful celebration of his life!! A special thanks to those that brought food and helped organize the dinner afterwards, especially Nita Wehde. Many thanks to the OMKC for the hall usage. We know that dad is in a better place! But we all still have a beautiful community and life to live here on earth!
