File ManagementAll files are to be saved on the server
– By doing so you will be able to have access to them on any computer that is networked in the building.
• Example: You can work on a paper in Ms. Jones room and if you saved it correctly you can pick right up where you left off and open it up in the library or computer lab.
– Your files will also be safe from harm• For example: If the computer crashes and needs to be replaced it will not matter
because it is on the server. Also, nobody will be able to erase them unless they have your password
– This is where Mr. Gavin will assess your work• For Example: I will make corrections and suggestions directly on your file. If your
work is not saved on the server you will not receive credit for your hard work– Saving on your desktop will slow your computer down
