Come join the Advisory Council / Fundraising Association

What is it? A group of parent volunteers that help foster the well–being and effectiveness of our

school community and enhance student learning in association with school teachers and staff.

Why do we need one? We provide feedback to school teachers and staff on various aspects of

the school community, provide volunteers for various activities in the school, spearhead fundraising opportunities in the school to enhance student and staff learning environments.

What do parents get out of volunteering? Input into how fundraising funds get

spent, what types of fundraising should be done, and insight into the workings of the school and what your kids are doing at the school.

What is involved in being on the council? Our council meets approximately 7

times during the school year for about an hour; various positions require some small further commitment to ensure all requirements are met for future fundraising opportunities; and having more involvement in your child’s education and school experience.

What types of fundraising does the council do? The main fundraising

opportunity to the school is the casinos that are run every two years. The last casino brought in $80,000 for the school. Funds were spent on busing for various field trips, musical instruments, sports equipment and classroom supplies and subscriptions. Other smaller fundraisers provide dollars for school activities like Shrove Tuesday, Xmas Fun Night and Teacher Appreciation lunches.

Purchase an Admazing Savings Ticket Pack. Information will be sent home with students. Prizes available through a new Admazing prize program for

everyone who sells a book. $25 gets you a book full of coupons plus an app for the Edmonton, Red Deer or Calgary area with 50% of every book sold staying with the

school.

It's CASINO Time!

St. Clement has been scheduled for its Casino! We are looking for volunteers to run the casino on November 15 & 16, 2021.

An online schedule is available for use to ensure that all positions get filled for all shifts on both days. Please remember this is the largest fundraiser that our school is involved in with the last Casino bringing in over $80,000 for school activities and

equipment.

We cannot do this without our volunteers!
