two-hour, standard-definition movie with a few extra features

Blu-ray is the next-generation digital video disc. It can record,

store and play back high definition video and digital audio, as

well as computer data.

Blu-ray disc has been a consistent road map toemerging disc technologies. Blue-ray can store upto 54 GB, enough to hold about 4.5 hours of high -definition video or more than 20 hours of

standard video. And there are even plans in theworks to develop a disc with twice that amountof storage.

Its very likely that the technology will beadopted as the next generation optical disc formatfor PC data storage and replace technologies suchas DVD+-R, DVD+-RW, and DVD-RAM.
