SPEAKING OF Painesville FALL/WINTER 2015 City Happenings Councilman Flock retires after 20 years of service to the City of Painesville Andrew Flock has retired from public service after 20 years as a Councilman for the City of Painesville. Mr. Flock had represented the residents of Ward 1 since 1995. The City presented Mr. Flock with a proclamation at his last council meeting on December 21, 2015. Mr. Flock was known for his regular town hall meetings at his home and Chestnut Elementary, in which he invited his constituents to discuss current and future issues about the City. Mr. Flock always had the best interests of the City at heart and was always sure to ask the tough questions before decisions were made. We thank Mr. Flock for serving our community and wish him the best in all his future endeavors. Free Home Energy Audit The City of Painesville Electric Department is pleased to announce another service offering to our customers. The Department is now offering home energy audits. A team of trained and certified auditors from the Electric Plant will come to your home to evaluate energy usage and make recommendations to help you save on your energy bills. The audit team will look at a number of en-ergy traps from your windows and doors to your insulation levels. They will even check on energy usage of your home appliances. After the audit is complete you will receive a written report detailing where you are losing energy dollars and how to fix those issues. Mrs. Shoop has resided in the City of Painesville for 42 years. She and her husband Joe have lived in their Ward 1 home on Skinner Avenue for 38 years. They have two grown children, Jessica and Jonathan, both are graduates of Thomas W. Harvey High School. Christine has been a member of the Painesville Planning Commission for the last 9 years. For the past two years she served as its Vice-Chairman.. Christine received her AA degree at Lakeland Community College, and her BA in Business Management from Malone University. She is an insurance agent in the State of Ohio with both Property & Casualty and Life licenses. In 2006 Christine earned the National Alliance’s designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). She is a member, in good standing, of the Society of Certified Insurance CounseLors. Christine looks forward to serving the residents of Painesville and she will devote her time and talent to meet, and hopefully exceed, their expectations.
