Sermon Series
This past Sunday, we continued our series through the gospel of John. Our passage came
from John 15:12-17. Through this Scripture, we learned that the love of God commands
us to love as we have been loved.
Take-home Question: Are you growing and sacrificially loving others?

Meet the Meza’s We became part of FOC around 2005 through a
bible club at FOC while it was in partnership with
KidsRKids. At the time, Ari was 4-5 years old.
Our relationship with FOC has strengthen over
the years, and we feel blessed to continue to be a
part of it.
Our family loves to spend time together with
grandparents, cousins, and close friends. We love
reading, the outdoors, and traveling. Ari is an
honor student who loves theater, tumbling, and
youth meetings. Also an honor student, Abie en-
joys jogging club, piano lessons, and Girl Scouts.
In regards to serving at FOC, Adriana and Ari have been part of Promiseland for a couple of
years. Our whole family enjoys getting involved and supporting our FOC family as much as our
schedules allow.
As a prayer request, we continue to ask for prayers for our brother, Oscar Meza who is currently in

One of the best ways to love others in the church is through Home Groups. Home Groups give people an opportunity to grow
closer to God with help from others on the journey. Home Groups provide people with an opportunity to share needs and
concerns in a small group setting. God created us to experience victory in this life through His Spirit and community. Though
one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12).
The Prayer Focus for the months of April and
May is prayer for our leaders. We want to focus
on wisdom for God’s direction for our leaders as
they make decisions for the coming year at
FOC. In addition, we also want to pray for direc-
tion and guidance.
