Students will receive lockers at summer orientation.

LUNCH

Students will have a half hour for lunch.Students may sit where they want.All sixth graders eat together.Student lunch = $3.00Meal Plan – account is the same as

elementary school.A la carte items sold separately.

BUSES

Students are dropped off in the back of the school by the gym.

Students report to gym until bell. Parent drop off is in the front of the school. At the end of the day, students report to the

back of the school to board buses in parking lot.

Summer Reading 2014

The goals:

1. To grow as learners. The more you read, the more interesting life becomes!

2. To create a community of readers.

3. To share good books and encourage others to read them.

4. To generate discussions with peers and teachers.

Summer Reading Assignment

1. Select at least 1 book from the Summer Reading List.

2. Read the book(s)! Choose the one you will share in the fall.

3. Use the graphic organize or sticky notes and complete the task you chose to share your summer work. When you return to school, on a designated day early in September, students will meet in discussion groups with classmates who have read the same book.

4. This assignment will be evidence for standard Comprehension and Collaboration
