Educating and teaching runs in Dotty’s DNA. Her family has three teachers and one minister who all share the joy of helping people learn and grow. “When there is a feeling in the room that everyone is engaged and learning, you just feel the transformation happening”.

Overcoming Negativity in the Workplace was the spring board that gave her the opportunity to impact people in the CMD classroom. Twenty-five years later, Dotty’s “Emotional Intelligence” class is one of the most popular on-site classes CMD offers.

Dealing Effectively with Workplace Conflict

This session gives you critical tools to lessen the conflict that is often felt in teams. It uses a DiSC profile – which is an assessment that will give you your conflict style – how you tend to deal with conflict, both subtle and open. You spend time talking about how to put the point of conflict in context and you create an awareness of your instinctual reactions. Once you know yourself and your tendencies and what makes those tendencies not good, you practice NOT letting yourself go in that direction. That means curbing the arguing, exploding, being defensive, overly agreeable, and passive.
