This week brings the end of another term at Ariah Park Central School. The main event this week is our School Fete on Thursday. There will be a great line up of activities and rides and the weather looks set for a fine day. All are welcome to attend. The proceeds of the fete will go towards installing a sun shade to cover the new playground equipment in the primary playground. Anzac Day is on during the holiday break and I would ask all our students to participate in remembering our service men and women. Sunday the 25 th of April 1915 marks the landing of Australian and New Zealand soldiers at Anzac Cove on the Gallipoli Peninsula. As we move past 100 years of this landing we hope that future generations remember this time in history. On Friday we have our final Whole School Assembly for Term 1 with an Anzac Theme. I would welcome all to attend. A note to parents that there is no playground supervision prior to 8:45am each morning. I would ask parents to not deliver their children to school prior to this time. I hope all staff and students have a safe, refreshing break and return safely first day back on Wednesday 27 th of April. RAP Mixed Lawn Bowls Report: RAP v Temora High School Second Round Ariah Park Bowling Club, Monday 21st March The second game for our bowlers was a much closer contest. We had the home ground advantage which offered a small crowd who were vocal in showing their support. The boys had a much nicer day in terms of weather this time round as well which made for a more comfortable experience. As with the last game, the boys were very unsure of what to expect and the first couple of ends were very close. Each team was bowling a very tight line and were not giving too much away. Once again, our consistency improved as we grew in confidence. Lochlan Nau was a stand out as his lead bowl would always be within touching range creating

pressure early. Harry Walker was clinical in support and Jaidyn once again provided the guidance and experience to finish off the close ends. After trailing early, the boys took the lead after a couple of ends and didn’t look back. They were eventual winners 21-11 after 15 ends. Our next game will be against Barham at Jerilderie. A time and date is yet to be determined.
