Steen & Strom, Olso, Norway, 2002:

“Before the installation the water had a return temperature of 8 °C and a

flow from the chiller of 6 °C. After the ‘clean up’ the return is 11°C and a

flow of 6°C. We have regained the design efficiency of the system”, says

Las Ørmen.

The only change to system was the introduction of EM to the CHW system.

By cleaning the blocked cooling coils of deposited debris and

corrosion by-products, the client was able to re-establish effective

cooling. The pumping requirements were reduced from four to

two 18.5 kW pumps creating considerable savings.
