Overview of the results from pre-assessment

• Satisfactory level of results

– Scores between 60-85%.

– Main aspects of disability and care are known.

– But:

• Usage of wheelchairs not addressed in questions, should be added.

• While it offers a good insight as a pre-assessment, additional questions are needed (30 is too limited, rather expect 100 spread over every module)

Use of mobile/online learning platforms (e.g. frequency, interface, usability, presentation of the content etc. )

• Frequency: Online platform was accessed at every training session, as embedded presentations were used as basis. After that participants accessed the mobile platform.

• Interface: Easy navigation through the content, and errors were corrected on the go.

• Usability: Easy to use online and mobile interfaces.

• Presentation of the content: Well organised with an easy navigation. The fact that content can be adjusted by trainer via an online platform was highly appreciated.

Encountered problems & their troubleshooting

• Any technical issues were highlighted and addressed by technical partners.

• Practical training sessions at home of PwD • Use real examples and demonstrations • We applied an open access approach for the

online platform(registrations always create an overhead)

• Lack of own devices by trainees – 6 pre-installed Samsung tablets were available to

participants. – 10 laptops were available during training

Frequency of required support

• Limited as technical staff attended every meeting.

• Outside meetings, participants had a “hotline support” email, as well as mobile number they could call for addressing issues.

Results from post assessment (midterm results)

• Overall observation – Scores between 85-95%

– “We got a refreshment of many relevant care aspects, while we also learning considerable new aspects, such as handling a wheelchair”. This extra content was initially added after we received feedback from an end-user, and was subsequently much appreciated.

– Modules that were providing the most “new” content: disability awareness, communication and social inclusion, PCG burnout, policy and mobility.
