CHEMICAL RESISTANCE: Chemical agents and strong acids.


Polypropylene ties are ideal for use in aggressive chemical environments where chemical effects on nylon are a concern. This is because they are not affected by inorganic acids (hydrochloric), polyhydric alcohols (ethylene glycol), neutral salts (sodium chloride) and basic salts (sodium bicarbonate). They also resist a number of other chemicals with good results, although they have a lower tensile strength than Nylon 6.6.

The PPA 571 Coating is a thermoplastic coating powder specially designed to provide a long lasting, tough coating for exterior application. PPA 571 is based on an alloy of acid modified polyolefins and provides good abrasion and impact resistance.

HOW TO USE NYLON COATED STAINLESS STEEL CABLE TIES

STEP 1Thread the tail through both tabs and the bridge of the buckle.

STEP 2

Using the Tensioning Hook and pulling in line with the buckle, tighten tail around bundle to the required tension.

STEP 3Bend tail backwards over the top of the bridge.

STEP 4 STEP 5

With the buckle on the top and the strap facing towards you, pass the tie completely around the bundle starting from the front.

Locate tail between the tabs and bend tabs over the tail.

APPLICATION METHOD FOR CSST 1

Place the tie around the object to be secured.

STEP 1

Insert the tail through the slot and into the ratcher jaw and tension by repeatedly pressing the tool handles together.

STEP 2

After tensioning, move the tool with an up and down movement and twist the tool in a clockwise direction. This will shear off the tail adjacent to the cable tie head.

STEP 3

Place the tie around the object to be secured.

STEP 1

After tensioning, pull the manual lever forwards, this will shear off the tail adjacent to the cable tie head.

STEP 3

The Cablecraft stainless steel band and buckle system can be quickly formed to suit virtually any diameter. It is suitable for applications where superior strength is required such as securing hose clamps, pipes, road signs, lamp posts and cables. It is available in three grades of stainless steel; SS201, SS304 and SS316 in uncoated and uncoated options. The band is supplied in boxes or handy plastic dispensers available with a centre turn facility for quick and easy application.
