Introduction
Aim of the piloting • To test thoroughly the M-CARE curriculum, training course and
materials, supported by the ICT driven learning environments (online & mobile) during pilots in Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany and Turkey.
• To establish panels of 20 users in each country to provide the basis for a rigorous review of all aspects (qualitative and quantitative) of M-CARE’s outputs as designed and customised in WP3.
• To produce revised national versions of the M-CARE offline and online resources in response to the results of the piloting in the aforementioned pilot sites.

Findings I
General:
• Some parts of the Modules are too simple – in contrary too many technical terms are used for the target group „beginner“ in others
• It is not sufficient, to have only theory to understand the contents of some modules, it is very important to assure practical experience and examples
539913-LLP-1-2013-1-TR-LEONARDO-LMP
Findings II
Contents I
• Different definitions for certain illnesses and disabilities on national level (e.g. Alzheimers is not a disability it‘s a form of dementia)
• Imprecise definitions of certain desases
539913-LLP-1-2013-1-TR-LEONARDO-LMP
Findings III
Contents II
• Imprecise Classification of competences and needed qualifications of the different professions involved in care giving (e.g. care giver, physiotherapist, physician, medical nurse, doctors, psychiatrists etc.)

539913-LLP-1-2013-1-TR-LEONARDO-LMP
Recommendations
General • Introduction or tutorial for the use of the Learning Portal
and Mobile Application • Check contents „language“ for suitability for the different
target groups („beginners“, „professionals“) • Create learning Levels for the different target groups • The definition of the term “disabilities” should be oriented
to the WHO-definition and then adapted to the most recent national definition
• Supervision by a professional expert obligatory • Precise description of competences of the different experts
on national level and adaptation of the modules accordingly
539913-LLP-1-2013-1-TR-LEONARDO-LMP
Recommendations
Contents I • The red line going through the modules should be adapted at
certain points of the learning course (e.g. first aid module – contents should be checked according to national laws and contexts)
• Creation of an appendix or glossary for professional definitions for illnesses, disabilities etc. based on international agreed definitions (e.g. WHO), Latin vocabulary
• Adapting contents of modules to national standards (e.g. first aid) • Working closely together with the medical sector • Acomplimenting the theoretical learning with the opportunity of
hands-on work-based learning

Recommendations
