to be the first ‘outside’ manager
to lead Newcastle West into achampionship campaign.His appointment in Newcastle
West comes months after anunsuccessful one-year spell asLaois senior hurling manager.At club level, he enjoyed
success with Bandon — guidingthem to the Cork IHC title in2011 and last year’s PIHCdecider. He also guided Bandonto last year’s Premier IHCdecider, but they succumbed toBallinhassig.
